Is Winter Ever Coming To The North? (Day 344)

It was 50 degrees Farenheit today. In New England.

Last year, we were cleaning up one snowstorm while waiting for the next one to roll in.

I’m not complaining, and I don’t want too much bitter cold, but this confuses me. Mentally. If I take a walk and it’s sunny and 50 degrees, I think it’s late April or early October. Tomorrow is February 1st.

Wonder what Puxatawney Phil will see on Tuesday. Six more weeks of winter doesn’t sound so bad. Would even like to see a little more snow and a few days worthy of the fires we keep building in our fireplace. Don’t want the weather to get carried away.

One of the appealing things about a few months of cold is that I appreciate those 50 degree days when they finally come.

Today, we took the dog for a long walk but after that, I wasn’t particularly drawn to go outside. It isn’t supposed to get cold tomorrow, either.

Not your typical February in New England.
