I just came across the coolest thing. It’s called earbud.fm (link here).
There are a few podcasts that I love, and listen to regularly: On Being, The Moth, Books and Authors, Fresh Air, and Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me. But sometimes, I’m looking for something new. I haven’t (until now) been able to find a way to narrow down the choices enough to know which new podcast to choose.
Earbud.fm is divided into categories of podcasts and when you choose a category, it not only directs you to different podcasts but it recommends a single show that is representative of the whole series. And the categories span the obvious: food, pop culture, movies and theatre, audience favorites but also offer up some more directed categories such as Brighten my Day and Let’s Talk About Sex and Tell Me A Story.
Why didn’t somebody come up with this sooner? I am in podcast heaven, having already discovered a couple of shows I want to continue watching.
Because I need another distraction. At least it’s an informative/educational distraction.
For all you podcast junkies or wanna-be podcast junkies, check out earbud.fm (link here).
