Who You Gonna Call? (Day 196)

My husband flipped on the TV when we got home tonight.

I looked up and saw a young Bill Murray with a woman who looked like a whacked out version of Sigourney Weaver. I asked what movie we were watching. Husband looked at me like I was crazy. “You don’t know?” he said, genuinely surprised.

The woman was Sigourney Weaver and the movie was Ghostbusters.

As I watched, I realized two things:

  1. I’ve never watched the entire movie, even though it was a classic movie of my generation, and
  2. People used to wear really, really, really big eyeglasses.

This led to more thoughts:

  1. How is it that I never watched all of Ghostbusters? and
  2. My sister used to have really big see-through plastic framed glasses that looked a lot like the ones that one of the women in the movie was wearing.

The point of this extremely uninteresting post is to prove to those who claim to be impressed by my ability to write a blog post consecutively for 195 days that sometimes, what I am doing is not that impressive.

Have a great labor day weekend, everyone!

  1. I also have never watched all of Ghostbusters. I didn’t even know Sigourney was in it! I remember her for Alien and Working Girl and (most recently) The Cabin in the Woods.

Happy Labour Day weekend to you too. 🙂

    1. I also had no idea Sigourney Weaver was in it. That’s mostly what threw me when I asked what movie it was. Haven’t seen Cabin in the Woods. Is it worth watching?

So what do you think?
