Me and Gloom (Day 155)

I NEED the sun to come out and stay out all day.

The gloominess outside knows how to slither its way inside of me until there is no room left for anything but gloom. Not my favorite way to be but even after years of dealing with Mr. Gloom’s slimy ways, I’m still not able to keep him out or to force him out once he’s made his way inside of me.

I can busy myself to avoid having to face him, but that is a temporary solution. After a time, the busyness begins to feel worse than the gloom.

So I pray to the sun to come out and play. And stay.

I’m ready and waiting.
