Life is Good (Day 90)

Drive 3.5 hours to pick up oldest child at college.

Yay! Woo hoo! Freshman year is over!

What? You didn’t pack your stuff?

An hour plus of packing.

An hour plus of moving the packed bags and boxes and suitcases down the hall, down the elevator (4 floors), down another hall, out the door, across the lawn, into the car.

Can’t see out of my back window the car is so stuffed.

Quick early dinner. Stop for water bottles and cookies (and Cheese-its for child who misses them)

3.5 hour ride turns into 5+ hour ride home. Rush hour traffic in Connecticut. Thank God, oldest child is good company. And plays good music.

Arrive home. Unpack car. Husband there to help.

Husband makes me his famous dirty martini with two jalapeño stuffed olives.

I sit on sofa, drink, and pet my dog.

Nest is full.

Life is good.
