This may be the coolest photo I’ve ever seen. I wish I’d taken it, but this photograph was taken in the 1910s by Herbert Ponting during the British Antarctic (Terra Nova) Expedition. Ponting’s collection of photographs from Captain Scott’s historic expedition are presented in a book called WITH SCOTT TO THE POLE which can be purchased here (click on this link and then scroll down to bottom of the page to find this book).
